Unforbidden

"Unforbidden" is my current work-in-progress game project, started in January 2013 and going strong ever since.

The game will be a platformer inspired by Super Metroid, featuring non-linear exploration of the game world and incremental power-ups that enable you to reach new places. The story is told via short cinematics and found notes.

While the gameplay happens in 2 dimensions, the world is rendered in full 3D, using hand-sculpted meshes, particle systems and bone animation for a semi-modern presentation.
